EGYPT KITE CRUISE
Imagine cruising the Red Sea in a luxury Yacht, chasing the best winds, the pristine warm waters and the sandy beaches of the Red Sea – that is a kite cruise in Egypt. We call them Kite Safari cause we move from spot to spot, sleeping, eating, chilling and partying on our boat, that serves us as a moving hotel.
For a weekly trip we meet in the evening of Saturday, for the first night on the boat docked in Hurghada Marina. We leave the marina in the early morning of Sunday, and during breakfast we will cruise to our first spot of the day. Depending on wind condition, we will choose daily the best islands and lagoons to kite. After the first kitesurfing morning, we will have a tasty lunch and then some extra hours kitesurfing in the afternoon. All decks of the boats are available at all time, if you prefer stay in and chill a little. After the afternoon kitesurfing , we will have dinner and relax and have fun and sleep in the night.
Almost every day we will move to a different location, with one downwind trip also available.
If you don’t know how to kitesurf, you can learn during the kite safari, with one of our qualified instructors. There are also extra activities available, like diving, snorkling and wakeboarding, upon requests.
We will be back after a week on Friday afternoon, we will have a last night on the boat, with a chance of exploring the town of Hurghada, and leave the boat on Saturday.

PROGRAM
ARRIVAL DAY (SATURDAY)
Arrival, meeting at the airport, transfers to boat.
We will leave early the next morning
SUNDAY – DAY 1
Depart to the north of the Red Sea for a 6 days of cruising. After a 30 mins trip we reach our first spot, Abu Mungar for a warm up session, a strip of sand perfect for setting up the kites, of which you can kite on both sides. We will spend all day here, and sleep here as well.
DAY 2
In the early morning we move to one of the best kitesurfing spots of the Red Sea, Tawila Island. A huge lagoon with crystal clean and shallow water. Here the adventure begins. Jump the sand bar or freestyle on glass flat water. Secluded beach with a great atmosphere, far away from the crowded coasts and cities.
After a full kiting day, a well deserved drink in the main deck, and after the sunset our crew may teach you how to catch Calamari!
As we wait for our meal to be prepared you can check out the videos and pictures from the day’s session on our screens. We will be sleeping in Tawila, ready for an early morning session.
DAY 3
If you are up to it, we will wake up at 6 in the morning for a session before breakfast! We will spend the full day in Tawila, and move in the afternoon to the third spot, Geisum island. We will be sleeping in Geisum.
DAY 4
We will spend the full day in Geisum (again we can kite from early early morning), and move in the late afternoon to Ashrafi Islands, our ultimate extreme spot! During the Northern most part of our safari we’ll travel between the islands to a great lagoon, with perfect side shore wind and deep waters for advanced and shallow area for beginner.
Why not take a look under your board? The water here is so clear that you’ll easily see the dolphins as they glide through the water. A real unspoilt area and a great place to take advantage of our kayaks and snorkeling equipment to explore the colour full coral below the surface. Also a great place for wakeboarding, as it is very quiet and flat!
With no man made light pollution the stars here are bright and plentiful. Enjoy this spectacle with drinks on the deck.
DAY 5
Before breakfast we will start a 10 km downwind ride to our next spot! The boat and our rescue team will follow us to give us that extra aspect of safety. Starting with flat water, we’ll head outside to catch some serious swell. It’s time to try some big carving and high jumps.
We’ll finish the day’s session back on Geisum. This is a great chance to explore the lagoons you missed last time as the area is very large. We will be sleeping in Geisum.
FRIDAY DAY 6
Early morning ride on the island lagoon. A good chance for a final picture session. We finish kiting around midday and enjoy a hearty lunch before heading back to Hurghada.
Gear will be cleaned and packed at the marina. Still have energy for more fun? We’ll head out for a night in one of the area’s most popular beach nightclubs. We sleep one last night on the boat in the marina.
SATURDAY DAY 7
It’s time for goodbye! After breakfast, we will leave the boat. If you have a later flight, we can go kite in some kite spots in Hurghada or El Gouna, or just chill at a nearby beach till it’s time to go.
IMPORTANT: our weekly route above may change due to wind conditions – we will do our best to visit as many kite spots as possible and to stick to the classic route of the safari, but we cannot guarantee it.
